The Waterville Valley Recreation Department offers a variety of recreational activities and events for everyone that lives and visits Waterville Valley. Summer programs begin on June 25th and operate through September 2, 2007. Summer with WVRD is pure fun wrapped around weekly themes. Summer day camp programs revolve all cooking projects, crafts, games, and field trips around the weekly theme. Daily activities including Monday evening ice cream socials, Wednesday night family bingo, and recreation department special events also revolve around the week’s theme.
- The Waterville Foundation
The Waterville Valley Foundation is dedicated to the support of the people and programs that honor and preserve the rich history and sense of community that makes Waterville Valley Unique. The Foundation, through the generosity of its contributors, has supported and funded athletic, cultural and educational programs throughout the region.
The Rey Center
The Margret and H.A Rey Center honors the legacy of Margret and Hans Rey, authors of Curious George, Whiteblack the Penguin, The Stars: A New Way to See Them, among other books. The Rey’s summered in Waterville Valley, New Hampshire, a unique community surrounded by the White Mountain National Forest. With support from the Rey estate, the Rey Center was established in 2006 as a 501(c3) non profit organization to manage the Curious George Cottage and to develop a new educational and cultural center in the heart Waterville Valley.
